Sorry folks for not posting to you sooner but I have some terrible news to share. this past November, my mother passed away. The cause of her passing is still unknown at this time and we may never know the cause. But one thing is certain, my mother passed away peacefully and she wasn't suffering when she did. i thank to all of those who has been there for me and for all who donated to help with her funeral as well as well wishes and sympathy cards during this difficult times.
During this time, I decided to set up a charity in her honor and memory calling it Melvie's Love. the charity is set up to create and give away knitted scarves to the local community. But due to the cost of making these scarves, money is needed to help buy the yarn needed to make them. So I ask that you either help by donating or just by sharing the link below.
Last week, a friend of mine who does a lot of things from book reviews to crafting had asked me to be a regular guest bloger for her own blog. I was ready to agree to do the blog posts for her. So in the future, I will be sharing the posts for her blog that I have done. this doesn't mean that I won't stop doing my own posts here. It just means that others beside yourself will be able to see what I write and I'll be doing things I normally don't write here on my blog. things like future book/movie/tv reviews, crafting and the like. One of my all time favorite shows growing up was Alvin and the Chipmunks. the show was originally created byRoss Bagdasarina Sr, in the late 50's and steadily grew popular with songs like Witch Doctor and The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Song). Shortly after an animated TV series was created by the same name and the rest is history with doing numerous animated movies in the 90's and most recently a live action, animation movies.
We all know the song and we even sing along to it as well as snap our fingers when it call for it. What am I talking about, you ask? I'm talking about the theme song to The Adams Family. Like it counter part, The Munsters, The Addams Familyhas been the joy to every generation to date. And Just like the Munsters, the show is also a Halloween tradition of the Boomerang station with them playing it every year through out the month of October.
The Munsters have been a staple of TV History with it getting more and more viewers from the younger generations. They have also become a Halloween tradition with one recent channel called Boomerang which is owned by Cartoon Network.
The show was so popular that the creators made a TV movie or two. And after several years later in the late 80's to early 90's another show was created called The Munsters Today. Which only lasted for a season or two before it was canceled.

One show from Nickelodeon was called Aaaahhhh!!! Real Monsters. It was another favorite of mine while I was staying with my Aunt. It ran for a few seasons and did a few Halloween specials at that.

As a little kid, I loved going to my Aunt's house when ever they needed her to babysit me. She had cable and it was there that I first discovered Nickelodeon. One of the shows I barely remember watching is called Count Duckula, a spoof of the most famous vampire in history, Count Dracula.
Count Duckula is a funny animated take of the vampire and watching it now, I found it pretty silly but it did bring back those memories of when I stayed with my aunt. I also found some YouTube videos for you to watch...
